INTRODUCTION
Supplied as standard with the AP-1164 Universal Programmer & AP-114 ISP/JTAG Programmer, the AP Programming Center (ApPC) provides a powerful, and fully customizable Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the control of the programmer. A selection of 'skins' is shown below which demonstrate the versitility of the software. A number of skins are supplied as standard with the software, others can be created using the "Skin Editor" software also supplied with the programmers. This powerful feature allows you to create your own interface to suit your particular needs. Perhaps you only ever need a limited number of functions. Perhaps the programmer is used in a production environment, and you wish to reduce the possibility of operator error. This can all be achieved by designing a skin that exactly matches your requirements. You can even design a skin to suit your own personal colour scheme or corporate profile.
FEATURES
Run ApPC for all Out of Circuit programming operations, and ISP programming of non-JTAG parts. Use ApSelector for all JTAG programming and operations. Therefore ApPC would be used as the primary application on the AP-1164 programmer, and would only be used on the AP-114 in conjunction with the plug-in adapter pods, or for ISP programming of Serial Flash and EEPROM memory devices.

[Actual screenshot : Default Production Skin]   Configure the software for how you need to use it generally, but also the options for specific job files (or Projects). Project files are a convenient method of storing a snap-shot of the software configuration and device parameters for ease of use at a later date. Alternatively they can be used in a Production environment to enable non-skilled operators to load correctly configured job files for batch/production programming. [Actual screenshot : Project Generator] There are a range of standard Serial Number options. Once enabled, Serial numbers are supported through the use of Scripts. A number of standard scripts are supplied with the software.	Software status and Log display, plus Log file option The skin can be configured to show the current status of the software. An option within the software settings can also enable all details to be exported to a logifle for review later. Details such as device name, required programming pod, filename and checksum can also be displayed. This will enable the user to ensure the software has been loaded correctly, critical in a production situation. Access to different device operations can be limited with the skin to ensure only the correct tasks are performed by the operator. [Actual screenshot : Select Device]   Device selection requires a device type and manufacturer to be selected, followed by the device name. The package and any device specific options needs selecting. Device Notes are available for any special requirements for the selected device. For the AP-1164, a Pod Preview is available which shows the alignment and positioning of the device in the appropriate socket.
Powerful buffer editing facilities are available. To avoid confusion, the buffer mirrors the actual device selected, in terms of both size and mode. Each memory area, plus the device register options has its own tab, and can be edited seperately. Checksums are calculated as the buffer is changed, reflecting both the checksum of the current buffer contents, plus the checksum of the entire device.	[Actual screenshot : Edit Buffer Contents]
